In his new single, Amit Tandon has given a Punjabi twist to the song "Adayein bhi hain mohabbat bhi hai" from the 1991 film "Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin". The actor-singer says his aim is to present old classic tracks in "new light" for the young generation.

After coming out with romantic tracks like "Jeeye ta jeeye" and "Lambi judaai", Amit launched his third single on Tuesday.

"'Adaayein bhi hain' is a very popular song from a super popular film 'Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin'. My aim is to present this song to today's generation in a new way with my own creative inputs with my USP - Punjabi lyrics intertwined with Hind," Amit said in a statement.

Canadian actress Nikkesha Rangwala features in the video along with Amit.

What's next for him?

"I am planning a mashup of a popular English song and something in Punjabi folk as well. I will also begin releasing my original tracks soon. I am excited about it," he said.

Amit made his mark in showbiz through the reality show "Indian Idol". He has featured in TV shows like "Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai", "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" and "Ye Hai Mohabbatein".
