Amy Poehler was honoured by Harvard's Hasty Pudding Theatrical with a parade and a celebratory roast during which the actress got kissed by two male students dressed as women with thick make-up and colourful wigs.
The 43-year-old was paraded Thursday from Harvard Square to the theatre hall with a marching band, costumed marchers and a duck boat in tow, reports aceshowbiz.com.
Harvard students and Poehler's fans lined the Massachusetts Avenue bringing signs which read "Leslie Knope for president" and shouting: "We love you, Amy."
As per reports, one of Hasty Pudding's members joked at the celebratory roast: "Our Woman of the Year believes if she collects enough Emmy nominations, she'll actually win one."
Poehler replied: "When I was growing up in Burlington, Harvard University was a place we threw rocks at on our way to our real jobs. When I drove by and gave you the middle finger, I had no idea I'd be honoured by you (one day).
"I haven't seen this many white people since I took my top off at a mime convention."
Poehler's "Parks and Recreation" co-star Chris Pratt was chosen as Hasty Pudding's Man of the Year 2015 and will be honoured Feb 6.
