Acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan, who has made inroads into Hollywood, has won awards galore and says an Oscar is one trophy that can change "everything" for an artiste.
In an interview to writer Raja Sen for the October Issue of Architectural Digest India, Irrfan opened up about his Oscar fantasy while discussing an area of his Oshiwara house where he has stacked up his awards.
Asked where he will keep the Oscar if he gets it, Irrfan said: "So many awards mean so little, but that is an award that would change everything; it can open up every choice for an actor."
"If it were ever to come, it would come with its own place. It would find its own place," added the actor, who features in Hollywood director Ron Howard's forthcoming film "Inferno", featuring Tom Hanks.
One of the finest actors in present-day Hindi cinema, Irrfan loves his home to have a water body and mirrors.
Confessing to a mirror fetish, he said: "I always peer into them even if I'm walking by in a hurry."
