Former mixed martial arts middleweight champion Anderson Silva has announced a new 15-fight deal with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).
The 39-year-old has not fought since suffering a broken leg in a December 2013 defeat to Chris Weidman, reports Xinhua.
"I still had seven fights on my contract," Silva said Monday. "That contract was cancelled and we signed for another 15 fights."
The Brazilian is the most successful fighter in the history of the UFC with 16 consecutive wins and 10 title defences. An unbeaten seven-year sequence ended with his loss to Weidman.
Silva's next fight will be against Nick Diaz in Las Vegas Jan 31.
