Indian Army chief General Dalbir Singh on Wednesday reviewed the operational readiness of the force's South Western Command, an official statement said.
Singh visited the command's headquarters in Jaipur in Rajasthan where Lieutenant General Sarath Chand, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Command, explained to him in detail about the battle readiness of the 'Sapta Shakti' Command.
"The army chief expressed his deep satisfaction over the excellent state of operational readiness as well as measures taken by the command to face evolving security challenges, especially along our western border," a Defence Ministry statement said.
