An anti-terrorism court (ATC) issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) secretary Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and five other party leaders, media reported Wednesday.
The ATC also declared the six accused PAT leaders as proclaimed offenders Tuesday, the Daily Times reported.
Police lodged a case against seven people, including Gandapur, eight unidentified gunmen, and hundreds of unidentified workers, accusing them of attacking policemen in clashes between police and PAT activists.
At least 14 people were killed in violent clashes between the Punjab Police and PAT activists June 17 this year at the Model Town area in Lahore.
