Aruncahal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki on Thursday called on DoNER Minister Jitendra Singh seeking assistance in several new projects including funds for a high court complex and multi-purpose sports stadium in the state capital Itanagar.

During the meet, the union minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) assured the chief minister that the central government was working to fund Rs.150 crore for a multi-purpose sports stadium in Arunachal Pradesh's capital Itanagar.

The chief minister was told that the central government was also planning to fund building of a new high court complex but it would be possible only after the ongoing construction of the new secretariat and legislature buildings was completed.

According to a statement from the ministry, matters related to security in the state were also discussed.

The government has set an estimate of Rs.25 crore and Rs.30 crore, respectively, for the construction of an RCC bridge over river Pachin connecting ISBT to Naharlagun Railway Station, near Itanagar, and for road connectivity in the capital complex with by-pass roads, it added.
