Textile manufacturer Arvind Ltd on Thursday said its standalone net profit for the second quarter of 2015-16 declined 17.4 percent, at Rs.80.19 crore against Rs.97.14 crore in the same period last year.
According to the standalone financial results posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company's total income from operations rose to Rs.1,335.84 crore from Rs.1,267.67 crore while total expenditure increased to Rs.1,170.45 crore from Rs.1,103.20 crore.
On a consolidated basis, Arvind posted a net profit of Rs.91.03 crore in Q2 against Rs.93.26 crore in the last quarter, while total income from operations surged to Rs.2,096.43 crore from Rs.1,964.63 crore.
Arvind incurred a total expenditure of Rs.1,896.44 crore in the analysed quarter on a consolidated basis against Rs.1,774.14 crore incurred in the same period of the previous quarter.
