The Indian sepaktakraw teams experienced mixed fortunes in the preliminary regu round at the 17th Asian Games Monday with the men's team winning both its matches but the women losing the opening round contest.
The men's team beat Brunei 2-0 in their first match of the day, winning 21-12, 21-15 in 38 minutes in group B then got a walkover from Nepal, who Did Not Start (DNS) at the Bucheon Gymnasium.
In the women's section, India went down to Indonesia 0-2 in 31 minutes, bowing 12-21, 13-21 in a preliminary group A match.
Earlier, the Indian teams were knocked out of the medal rounds with both men and women losing all three group matches.
