A bomb blast in the south Philippine province of North Cotabato Sunday killed at least two people, a military official said.
According to the official, Jo-ann Petinglay, the bomb was an improvised explosive device (IED), which exploded at a plaza in the M'lang town leaving "two killed and an undetermined number of others wounded," Xinhua reported.
A military report said that a team from the army's 7th infantry battalion and intelligence operatives had cordoned off the area.
