Spanish football giants Atletico Madrid on Thursday confirmed that their Uruguayan defender Diego Godin is suffering from an injury to his right thigh.
According to the club's official website, Godin went for a scan on Thursday and "the result confirmed his grade I muscle injury to the right thigh," reports Efe.
Godin had to be substituted in 49 minutes of Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Barcelona in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.
It is still not known for how long the 30-year-old will be sidelined, although a fortnight is usually sufficient for recovery.
