Atletico Madrid returned to training on Monday in preparation for the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich next Wednesday.
Argentine Augusto Fernandez was absent from the session after he suffered an injury to his right knee and will undergo an operation on Tuesday, reports Efe.
In addition to the midfielder, Argentine coach Diego Simeone will also miss the efforts of Uruguayan Jose Gimenez, Portugal's Tiago Mendes and Italian Alessio Cerci, as well as goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya, all recovering from injuries and who will miss Wednesday's clash at Vicente Calderon.
