Capital football club Atletico Madrid's forward Fernando Torres on Thursday said he is saving a goal for the UEFA Champions League final, after he failed to score a penalty against Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.
In a video posted on Atletico's official website, the Spanish forward joked with his teammate Saul Niguez, while the team was celebrating its advance to the final for the second time in three years after eliminating the Bavarian heavyweights on Tuesday, reports Efe.
"It's done, he wanted to make us suffer a little," Saul, who scored in the first leg of the semi-final, joked with reference to Torres.
"The best is yet to come, this was the warm up," the seasoned Spanish forward replied.
"We're saving the goal for the final," Torres added.
Atletico Madrid advanced to the Champions League final to face Real Madrid, which eliminated Manchester City on Wednesday. The final will take place on May 28 in Milan's San Siro stadium.
