An unguarded ATM here was stolen, police said Tuesday.

A sweeper spotted the ransacked ATM booth of the Union Bank of India located at west Delhi's Narela area Tuesday morning and informed the police.

Along with the ATM, a CCTV camera installed inside the booth was also found missing.

Police said the ATM, located at the outskirts of Delhi, was unguarded and the thieves had also broken the street lights before uprooting the cash dispenser.

Police suspect the involvement of more than five people in the crime.

Police also said that the thieves had used gas cutter.

A resident said that the police patrolling was minimal in the area and there are no lights on several streets.

"Robberies, thefts and snatchings are very common in this area," Rahul, another resident, said.
