Attack on CPI-M leader 'very painful': Mahasweta Devi

"What we are hearing, we get distracted. We want a correct path," Mahasweta Devi said.

The CPI-M leader was admitted to a hospital here with injuries after he was allegedly attacked by Trinamool Congress workers, led by a former party legislator, Sunday at South 24 Parganas' Bhangar.

"The incident is very painful," the eminent writer said.

The ruling Trinamool, however, rubbished the allegation of the CPI-M and said the Left party was trying to create disturbances in the state.
