Borussia Dortmund signed Ji Dong Won on a free transfer from Bundesliga rivals Augsburg.

Just one day after Augsburg signed Ji from Sunderland until the end of the season, Dortmund announced that the South Korean striker will join Juergen Klopp's team July 1 to put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

The 22-year-old striker helped Augsburg on his loan spell last season to remain in first division scoring five goals in 17 matches. Besides that, he scored eight goals in 26 official caps for the South Korean national soccer team since 2010.

"Ji Dong Won is a professional who can play on several offensive positions. We are pleased that we were able to sign such a talented player on a free transfer for the upcoming season," Dortmund's director of sport Michael Zorc said Friday.

Dortmund sit currently on the fourth position with 32 points, 12 points adrift of front-runners and German giants Bayern Munich.
