Australia beat India by four wickets in ODI

Australia defeated India by four wickets with an over to spare in the second One-Day International (ODI) of the tri-series, also involving England, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) here Sunday.

Electing to bat, India were powered to 267/8 in their 50 overs by opener Rohit Sharma (138), who scored his sixth ODI century. Meanwhile, left arm pacer Mitchell Starc clinched career-best figures of 6/43 from his 10 overs.

In reply, the home side chased down the target in 49 overs, finishing at 269/6, with opener Aaron Finch top scoring with 96.

The next match in the ODI tri-series will be played Tuesday in Brisbane between India and England.
