Australia's present for the latest addition to Britain's royal family, Princess Charlotte, is ready for delivery, media reported on Monday.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Catherine, will receive a blanket for their daughter who was born on May 2, made from the famous Tasmanian Merino wool, ABC reported.

It features wattle -- Australia's national floral emblem -- hand sewn by the Australian Capital Territory Embroiders Guild over dozens of hours. It was handed to Prime Minister Tony Abbott on Monday.

President of the guild Di Ballantyne said they were thrilled to be given the important job.

"We hope they enjoy putting little Charlotte under her blanket and it will keep her warm in the cold English winters, and that she might come out to Australia to actually see the wattles and things when she's a bit bigger," Ballantyne said.
