Two-and three-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto on Monday reported a decline of 22 percent in its sales for February at 243,319 units from 313,294 units in the corresponding period of the previous year.
According to the company, its motorcycle sales during the month under review stood fell 21 percent at 216,077 units from an off-take of 273,323 units in February 2014.
The company's commercial vehicle sales declined by 32 percent at 27,242 units from 39,971 units sold in the like period of 2014.
The company's exports during last month plunged 20 percent at 112,909 units sold abroad from 142,009 units shipped-out in the corresponding period of last year.
On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) the company's scrip declined by 3.97 percent at Rs.2,076 per equity share (3.05 p.m.) from its previous close of Rs.2,161.80 per equity share.
