La Liga has reached a renewable three-year-contract with local Banco Santander to officially sponsor the Spanish football championship.
La Liga officials told Efe that the official announcement of the agreement is set to be revealed on Thursday at the bank's headquarters in Madrid, in the presence of La Liga president Javier Tebas.
Banco Santander will succeed BBVA as sponsor of La Liga after the latter announced last September that it will not continue as sponsor of the championship.
