Bangladesh are likely to rope in some new players for the preliminary squad for next year's World Twenty20.
The selectors might also go for some cricketers who have been out of the national team in recent times. They will soon send the list of the preliminary squad, which will comprise 25-27 players, to the Bangladesh Cricket Board, reports bdnews24.com.
"From the first week of next month, the national team will commence the camp. The conditioning camp will be followed by skill practice. The squad will be announced in a couple of days," chief selector Faruque Ahmed said.
Faruque said the selectors had considered players who did well in the recent Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) but did not rely on it entirely in their search for the 'best possible team'.
"Someone might not have played for Bangladesh in the recent past but is doing very well. He could do better if given the chance. We have considered all these things," said Faruque.
