A craft beer bar will be opened across the US-Mexico border to "make beer no walls", a Britain-based brewery announced.
BrewDog USA, a branch of Britain's biggest craft beer brewery, announced on Thursday a plan called "The Bar on the Edge" on the first Friday of August, the annually International Beer Day celebrated by millions of people over 200 cities globally, Xinhua news agency reports.
The company's press release said since "The Bar on the Edge" will be set up across the borderline, the exact location has not been disclosed with the current building being defined as a temporary one.
Meanwhile, in order to attract fans from both countries, the bar will serve the US beer on the Mexico side and vice versa, and "the geographical border will be represented by a dotted line across the center of the bar and along the venue's outdoor seating area", the brewery said.
"We will request official permission from the local authorities...I guess it would make it more difficult to build a wall if there's a BrewDog bar in the way," James Watt, co-founder of the company, said on the official website.
BrewDog is a peculiar company relying on equity crowdfunding.

Co-founders Watt and Martin Dickie set up an "Equity for Punks" initiative at $47.5 for each share with a minimum investment of two shares as the company earlier had a hard time getting access to capital.
The establishment of the US-Mexican border wall was a crucial campaign promise by US President Donald Trump's administration and also a major contention not only between the two countries but also between the conservatives and liberals in the United States.
