Bayern Munich's Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara has said he is "happy" at the German football side, ruling out a move to the English Premier League in the near future.
"All I will say is that it is an amazing league," the midfielder said with reference to the Premier League on Wednesday, reports Efe.
"It is probably the best league in the world but I'm very happy at Bayern and fulfilled with what I am doing," the Spanish player explained.
The 24-year-old Spanish international moved to Bayern in July 2013 after winning the Under-21 Euro championship with his national team.
Despite interest from Manchester United, the Spanish star joined the German club for 25 million euros ($27 million) with a four-year contract.
"There was never any firm proposal," he clarified.
"David de Gea wanted me to join. He wrote a message on my match ball after we'd beaten Italy in the final. But I'd have done the same with him," Thiago added.
