British actress Feryna Wazheir, who featured in "Airlift", says it's a huge deal to be part of a superhit film in India.
Asked how being cast in the Akshay Kumar-starrer changed things for her on the film front, Feryna told IANS: "Well, in India, box office matters. And being part of a superhit film is a big thing here in India. Thanks to the commercial success of 'Airlift', many people have seen it.
"A lot of people come up to me and ask if I'm the 'Airlift' girl or really from Kuwait. The fact that people liked me in my character has helped in the sense that the film industry people are more curious and confident to cast me."
"Airlift", released earlier this year, was about a Kuwait-based businessman who coordinates the evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion of the Gulf nation in 1990.
For Feryna, it's important to be part of all kinds of films.
