State-run Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) Monday reported a sales turnover of Rs.6,180 crore for the just-concluded fiscal 2013-14 (FY 2014), posting a marginal growth of 2.8 percent over 2012-13 at Rs.6,012 crore.
"Exports, however, increased 27 percent year-on-year (YoY) to $41.7 million from $32.8 million year ago," the city-based defence major said in a statement.
As the financial figures were provisional, the company did not disclose profit before tax or net profit for the fiscal under review.
"With an order book valued at Rs.23,200 crore, we are set to continue our good run in the new fiscal (2014-15)," the company claimed.
Among orders the company executed in last fiscal include weapon system for the Indian Air Force and Indian Army; central acquisition radar, low-level light weight radar, shipborne electronic warfare system, low intensity conflict electronic warfare system, missile warning system, passive night vision devices and electronic voting machine.
