Actor Ben Whishaw doesn't believe his openness about his sexuality will stop him from landing certain roles now.

The 33-year-old, famous for playing gadget wizard Q in James Bond movie "Skyfall", came out as a gay man last year and his agent revealed that Whishaw was in a civil partnership with Australian composer Mark Bradshaw.

Asked whether he worries about being pigeonholed, Whishaw said: "It's not a consideration for me because gay characters are as varied and different as heterosexual characters. I've played all sorts of different people, so I don't see the need to balance them out."

He never considers the sexuality of a character before accepting a role, reports contactmusic.com.

"It's only worth doing anything if you believe in the story and the experience, there's nothing else to think about," he said.
