Betterment of traffic, control room: Gurgaon police

Betterment of police control room (PCR) and traffic flow at selected points are among five priorities of Haryana Police to be implemented in Gurgaon during the next three months, an official said here on Tuesday.

Gurgaon Police Commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk on Tuesday said that five points in the city will be selected where traffic jam problem has been worse.

"After selecting those areas, all efforts will be put to resolve traffic issues," Virk said.

For forming new police stations and examine the working of existing police stations will be done in the coming three months starting from April to June. This will be furnished by deputy commissioners of police (East, West and South).

 

The police also aim to reduce and tackle the incidents of vehicle theft and snatchings.

Working of police control room will be further strengthen and modernize. This responsibility will be look after by Joint Police Commissioner Bharti Arora, traffic issues will also be monitored by her.

Police will also ensure the participation of private players to strengthen the basic infrastructure required by the department. Joint Police Commissioner Saurav Singh will take this responsibility.

Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) V.P. Singal has recently directed police commissioners and senior superintendents of police (SSP) in the state to select priorities in their respective jurisdictions and resolve them within the time frame of three months.

Millennium city Gurgaon has a special focus because of its multinational companies and work culture.
