Machine tool solutions provider Bharat Fritz Werner Ltd. is planning to set up two more plants and take its total production capacity to 10,000 machines per annum, said a top company official on Thursday.

Part of the Kothari Group, the Rs 620 crore Bharat Fritz Werner is hoping to close this fiscal with a turnover upwards of Rs 1,000 crore.

"We are planning to set up two more plants. One of the plants is planned for Tumkur in Karnataka where a machine tools park is coming up. We are also looking to set up a plant elsewhere," Ravi Raghavan, Managing Director told reporters here.

He said that in three-to-four years the company's production capacity will touch 10,000 machines per year from the current 3,500 machines per year.

According to him, all the sectors served by the company including the automobile, defence, dies and moulds, and general engineering are showing positive growth trends.

"Our order book position is about 2,800 machines worth about Rs 1,200 crore," Raghavan added.

Queried about setting up a plant in north India, Raghavan said about 30 per cent of the company's sales come from that region but no final decision has been taken on locating a new plant there.
