Bhumi Pednekar takes her work very seriously: Neeraj Sood (Movie Snippets)

After working with Bhumi Pednekar in "Shubh Mangal Saavdhan", actor Neeraj Sood has praised the actress, saying she takes her work very seriously.

In the film, Neeraj is seen as Bhumi's father.

"I still remember Bhumi as an assistant director. She had auditioned me for 'Band Baaja Baaraat' and 'Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year'. She was as enthusiastic as she is as actor," Neeraj told IANS.

"I was really happy to know that after getting auditioned by her I was acting with her in 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan'. We really bonded well because she knew my style of working which built a comfort zone on the sets between us. It was amazing working with her. She has always been a hard working girl and takes her work very seriously," he added.

 

"Shubh Mangal Saavdhan" revolves around Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi's characters who fall in love and plan to get married. But the twist in the tale comes when the groom discovers that he suffers from erectile dysfunction. The film's director R.S. Prasanna has said that a sequel is in the pipeline.

Vishal Malhotra had fun learning football for new film

Actor Vishal Malhotra says it was fun to learn a new sport for his forthcoming film "Tu Hai Mera Sunday".

Vishal is know for his roles in "Hip Hip Hurray", "Ishq Vishk", "Jannat" and for hosting Indian Premier League (IPL).

The film is about five friends who struggle to find place to play football in Mumbai. "Tu Hai Mera Sunday" is associated with the Juhu Beach United. The members of this football club guided the cast with football tricks and techniques.

"I am not a football player but when I was offered this film, I loved the story and decided to take it. But there are lots of scenes in the film where I will be seen playing football, hence I thought why not learn a new sport," Vishal said in a statement.

The film is releasing on October 6.

Vidya Balan walked out during 'Ishqiya' narration

Actress Vidya Balan was praised for her role in "Ishqiya", but the actress had walked out when she was narrated the script, says filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj.

During a panel discussion held by &Prive HD, Bhardwaj told the audience how Vidya left halfway through the narration of the film "Ishqiya", read a statement

Bhardwaj had invited Vidya to hear the script, written by himself and Abhishek Chaubey.

"She came to my office, and I told her you should hear it from the director (Abhishek Chaubey) to get the confidence. She read the first half and then, I wasn't there, she left saying there was some important work that had come up. I thought we had written such a bad script that she left and made up an excuse to leave," Bhardwaj said.

Vidya had a work commitment to attend to and returned immediately after her commitment was over, an hour later.

The actress said: "I thought I was being honest and told him (Abhishek) that I had some place to go to and I'll be back in an hour, and left. I then got a call from Vishal asking if I didn't like the script and told him how I've only read the first half and like it thus far, and that I'm going back to read the rest of the script."
