The Bihar assembly was on Tuesday adjourned till 2 p.m. following an uproar by the opposition, which demanded a debate on deteriorating the law and order situation in the state.
Soon after the assembly sitting began, opposition legislators, mostly from the Bharatiya Janata Party, disrupted the proceedings and trooped into the well.
Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary requested the members to raise the issue after the question hour.
With the opposition unrelenting, the speaker adjourned the house till 2 p.m.
The four-day monsoon session of the Bihar assembly began here on Monday. This is the last session of the current assembly as the state is going to the polls later this year.
