Biotechnology major Biocon Ltd posted a net profit of Rs 104 crore for the third quarter (October-December) of fiscal 2016-17, registering 63 per cent annual growth over the same period year ago from Rs 64 crore.
In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, the city-based drug firm said income for the quarter (Q3) under review grew 23 per cent to Rs 688 crore from Rs 558 crore in the corresponding period year ago on standalone basis.
On consolidated basis, the group's net profit zoomed 65 per cent to Rs 171 crore for the quarter from Rs 104 crore year ago while revenue increased 32 per cent to Rs 1,092 crore inQ3 from Rs 829 crore year ago.
