An IndiGo flight from Raipur to Hyderabad made an emergency landing at the Swami Vivekananda Airport here on Saturday morning due to a bird hit.
All 170 passengers onboard were unhurt.
"As soon as the Indigo flight 6E827 took off from the airport 9.10 a.m., a bird collided with the plane's engine. There was a loud bang, and the aircraft began to wobble. The pilot alerted the ATC (Air Traffic Control) immediately," Airport officer Santosh Dhoke said.
"The ATC officers without any delay asked the plane to make an emergency landing. It was made to land amid full emergency procedures."
