'Birdman', 'Gone Girl' win Final Draft Awards

"Birdman" and "Gone Girl" were awarded the top feature film honours at the 10th Annual Final Draft Awards.

"Birdman" got the award for Best Original Screenplay, while "Gone Girl" won the trophy for Best Adapted Screenplay.

The 10th Annual Final Draft Awards were held here Thursday, reports variety.com.

The crime drama series "True Detective", written by Nic Pizzolatto, grabbed the Best Television Drama prize, and Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady of "The Big Bang Theory" took home the trophy for Best Television Comedy.

Hosts of the ceremony - actor Thomas Lennon and screenwriter Robert Ben Garant - presented the Hall of Fame award to screenwriters Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The duo have penned scripts for films like "Big Eyes", "The People vs. Larry Flynt" and "Ed Wood".
