Guyanese leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo could be recalled for the second Test between the West Indies and Australia starting here on Boxing Day (December 26).
Bishoo is being considered on the basis of his performance during the drawn two-day tour match between the West Indies and a Victoria XI at the weekend, reports CMC.
He picked up two wickets for 60 runs as Victoria ended on 169 for three in response to the visitors' 303 for eight in the rain affected warm-up game.
"He bowled better," the West Indies coach Phil Simmons told reporters here on Tuesday. "There was a lot more drive in his deliveries and everything like that," said Simmons.
Left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican, in his second Test grabbed three wickets for 158 runs in the West Indies' heavy innings and 212-run loss to Australia in the first Test.
Bishoo, renowned as a wicket-taker, grabbed six wickets against the Australians in the Dominica Test when the Aussies visited the West Indies earlier this year.
