Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday said his Biju Janata Dal (BJD) was "totally secular" and against intolerance in any form.

He was replying to a question whether his party would raise the issue of intolerance in parliament.

"Our party is totally secular and against intolerance in any form," Patnaik told the media.

The BJD on Saturday held a meeting of party MPs both in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha at Naveen Niwas (residence of Patnaik) to chalk out strategies for the ensuing winter session of parliament from November 26.

The meeting was attended by 19 Lok Sabha and six Rajya Sabha members of the BJD.

"The party MPs will raise several issues, including drought situation in Odisha, during the winter session of the parliament," the BJD chief said.
