The BJP's Central Election Committee on Saturday met to finalise the names of its candidates for Himachal Pradesh assembly elections to be held on November 9.
Sources in BJP said that the first list of candidates will be announced on Sunday or day after.
The CEC meeting held at party headquarters was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah besides the members of of the top party body which decides the names of the candidates.
Party veterans and former Himachal Pradesh Chief Ministers Shanta Kumar and Prem Kumar Dhumal also attended the meeting along with Himachal BJP chief and state incharge.
Himachal Pradesh, presently ruled by the Congress, will go to polls on a single day on November 9 to elect its new 68-member assembly.
The result from Congress-ruled state will be known on December 18.

The ruling Congress has already declared that it will fight the elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Veerabhadra Singh.
The BJP is yet to take a decision that whether the party should go to polls with a face or without it.
