BJP leaders get bail in Bengal, seven workers sent in police custody

A city court on Friday granted bail to all senior BJP leaders in connection with violence during the party's protest march here a day ago but remanded seven party workers in police custody till Monday.

Those bailed out include Bharatiya Janata party national General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, West Bengal unit President Dilip Ghosh, and Rajya Sabha MP Roopa Ganguly.

As many as 135 BJP leaders and workers were earlier presented in the Bankshall Court, a day after party supporters clashed with police in the state capital during the protest march to the city police headquarters Lalbazar.
