BJP legislator Vijender Gupta was on Monday marshalled out of the Delhi assembly for refusing to vacate his seat even after the speaker barred him from attending the house.

Soon after the house assembled, Gupta -- the Bharatiya Janata Party legislator from Rohini -- demanded a discussion on his calling attention motion on the education bill, which Speaker Ram Niwas Goel refused to accept.

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party's women members reached near the speaker's podium demanding an apology from suspended BJP member O.P. Sharma for using abusive language against AAP member Alka Lamba.

Gupta opposed the women members' move and accused the speaker of partiality.

After his remarks, Goel barred Gupta from attending the house but he refused to leave.

On Goel's orders, Gupta was evicted from the house by marshals.
