The AAP on Monday accused the BJP-ruled civic corporations of inaugurating half-baked projects ahead of the municipal elections in April.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Dilip Pandey said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had realised the anger of Delhi residents and was trying to pretend that it was doing some work for them.

"The municipal corporations have done nothing over the past 10 to 15 years. They have no accomplishments that they could boast of. So they are now inaugurating half-baked projects," Pandey said.

He said the South Delhi Municipal Corporation inaugurated a science museum in south Delhi last month which would still take several months and a lot of money to be operational.

"In Krishna Nagar market in Kalkaji, BJP-ruled MCDs inaugurated a half-ready parking lot where you cannot park your vehicle yet," he said.

The multi-level car parking was inaugurated by the SDMC last month.

Pandey said the councillors of the BJP and the Congress became active only in the last few months and were showing as "if they were doing a lot of work for the people of Delhi".

"What were they doing in the last four-and-a-half years?"

Pandey said if the AAP wins the municipal elections, it will set up an inquiry and send those guilty of inaugurating half-ready projects to jail.
