A two-day strategy meet of the national executive of the Bharatiya Janata Party began here on Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, party patriarch L.K. Advani and other leaders were present.

Strengthening the base of the BJP in states where it has little presence is high on agenda.

According to party sources, the states identified for this include Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha.

The contentious land acquisition bill which is facing stiff opposition in parliament and outside is also likely to feature prominently at the meet.
