The BJP declared Sunday that it was ready to quit the Nitish Kumar ministry in Bihar and sit in the opposition benches.
"BJP ministers will resign and we are ready to sit in the opposition as neither the JD-U is eager to soften its stand nor are we eager to bow before them," state party vice president C.P. Thakur said.
Thakur said all BJP ministers were meeting at Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi's residence here.
"At this meeting a final decision will be taken to resign before or after the JD-U announces the end of the alliance," he said.
