The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to launch a campaign 'Maha Sangram' against the Odisha government across the state, a senior leader said Tuesday.
It has decided to launch the campaign Jan 6 at a meeting to be addressed by BJP national president Amit Shah. He is scheduled to visit Odisha for two days where he will discuss with workers how to strengthen the party.
"We will reach out to people across the state against the BJD government, which is mired in scams and corruption. The campaign will start from a meeting to be attended by the BJP president and will be intensified across the state exposing the misdemeanor of the state government," senior BJP leader Bijay Mohapatra said in a conference here.
The party has decided to raise the issues like mining, chit fund and land scams during the campaign.
"The government has lost all moral rights to remain in power in the state. Time has come to dethrone the government. The chief minister should dissolve the cabinet and face law for all the misdeeds committed during the last 15 years," said Mohapatra.
