Hundreds of BJP supporters on Monday protested outside the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the role of Transport Minister Gopal Rai in the alleged auto-rickshaw permit scam and demanded Rai's resignation.

"Kejriwal government is involved in corruption and is committing a fraud against its own supporters. Why it is not sacking its Transport Minister Gopal Rai," Bharatiya Janata Party's Delhi unit chief Satish Upadhyay, who led the protesters, told reporters.

Upadhyay on Saturday said the auto-rickshaw drivers used to be the biggest supporters of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), who are now being hoodwinked by the government run by the party.

The Delhi government on Saturday suspended three transport department officials for alleged corruption in issuing fresh Letters Of Intents (LOIs) for three-wheelers.

Another BJP leader, Harish Khurana said, "If the AAP government has suspended three officials from the transport department over the issue, then they also know that there is something wrong. We want Kejriwal to sack the transport minister too."
