Important papers and files were destroyed in a fire that broke out in a state-run bank here Monday, officials said. No one was injured.
The fire broke out due to a short circuit at the Bank Of Baroda branch in Farrukh Nagar area.
Two fire tenders rushed to the spot and the blaze was controlled after an hour, a fire service officer told IANS.
Bank manager Vinod Kumar told police that some records was destroyed but the cash and the storeroom were saved by firefighters.
