An apparently gang-related mass shooting at a Chicago park left a three-year-old boy in critical condition and a dozen others injured.
The incident took place in Cornell Square Park on the city's south side Thursday night. The boy was shot in the ear, and the bullet exited through his mouth, CNN said citing Chicago Police.
None of the other victims were listed in critical condition Friday, the channel said. The other victims included two 15-year-olds who were listed in stable condition.
The remainder were adults aged between 21 and 41 years.
Investigators believe Thursday's shooting was gang-related, said Officer Ron Gaines of the Chicago Police Department.
The FBI's annual crime report this week showed Chicago had 500 homicides in 2012, up from 431 in 2011 and more than any other American city.
