A two-year-old boy was killed after he was hurled out of a sixth floor building by a Chinese man following an argument with the kid's mother, police said Saturday.
The incident occurred in China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, reported Xinhua.
The boy died in hospital, police said.
Police said they received a call Friday saying that a child has fallen from a building.
Police later linked the incident to a man surnamed Lu, who confessed that he threw the child off the building because of a "romantic dispute" with the kid's mother.
The child had no biological connection with the suspect.
Lu is in police detention.
