FC Goa on Wednesday announced that midfielder Brandon Fernandes and defender Ali Mohammad have signed two-season contract extensions with the Indian Super League (ISL) franchise.

Both players were signed on one year contracts from the Hero Indian Super League player draft ahead of the fourth season of the ISL. Both players have been regular features in Sergio Lobera's team this season contributing effectively to the team's success so far.

Brandon has assisted four goals this season, making him the highest provider of goals along with Spanish midfielder Manuel Lanzarote. His link up play with Ferran Corominas, Mandar Rao Dessai and Lanzarote has helped the team score the most number of goals this season.

"It feels good to be part of the home team wherein we have the entire crowd cheering us on. This is the drive that keeps the team and me even more motivated to give our best in every single game. This is the main reason why I settled on committing to an extension with this club," he said.

Brandon added that there was a lot more to come from him in the rest of the season. "I believe in consistency and determination to perform well and grow from every match. That is the mindset I prefer moving forward with. I have a lot more to offer and I will make sure I contribute to the cause," he said.

In his debut season, Ali has established himself as the first choice central defender alongside Portuguese stopper Bruno Pinheiro. The Goan defender ranks second in the team with regard to interception, second behind Moroccan midfielder Ahmed Jahouh.

His good performances for the team prompted the management to give him a further two years with the player agreeing terms and signing on to represent FC Goa till 2020.
