Brazilian police on Friday searched the home of former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in a probe into a corruption scheme, the media reported.
Federal police officer Jose Cyrispiniano said the police were at addresses belonging to Silva, including the Instituto Lula, his nonprofit organisation, Xinhua reported.
Brazil's O Globo news network released images of police officials around a building they said was Silva's residence in Sao Bernardo de Campo, in greater Sao Paulo.
