British Ambassador to Libya, Peter Millett, has said the British embassy was preparing to return to Tripoli.
Millett made the announcement on Thursday during a meeting with the UN-backed Libyan Prime Minister Fayez Serraj in Tripoli, Xinhua news agency reported.
Millett said that the British embassy would soon return to Tripoli, after three years of closure due to the deterioration of security situation in Libya, according to the Prime Minister's media office.
The two sides also discussed mutual cooperation between Britain and Libya as well as the recent security development in Libya.
Millett confirmed his country's commitment to helping achieving stability and security in Libya based on the road map proposed by the UN Envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame, the media office said.
