BSES opens digitised customer service centre in Delhi

BSES, one of Delhi's two electricity distribution companies (discoms), on Monday announced the opening of its first Digi Seva Kendra to provide single window computerised facilities for customers to apply for various services.

"These state-of-the-art centres, modelled on the Passport Seva Kendras, will offer quick and convenient single window services to customers, who can apply for a host of services like new connection, load/name/category change, among others," a BSES release said here.A

"Leveraging technology, including Aadhar card based authentication, the end-to-end use of digitised paperless process will help in substantially reducing the turnaround time by around 200 per cent (from 8 days to under 4 for in case of a new connection)," it said.

 

BSES' first Digi Seva Kendra here opened at Nehru Place, and more centres are to be opened across the discom's license area in the capital, it added.

This will cater do around 2 lakh customers in the discom's Nehru Place and Alaknanda Divisions," the statement said.

"It was inaugurated by Delhi MLAs Madan Lal, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Avtar Singh and Sahi Ram Pahelwan," it added.
